JRA PROFILE.jpg

With life beginning in Glasgow, as the son of an architect and the grandson of enthusiastic antique fair exhibitors, Jamie was immersed in the worlds of design, history, and antiques from an early age. Surrounded by discussions of architecture, craftsmanship, and treasured objects, he developed a fascination with design and the stories that historic pieces tell.

This passion initially led Jamie towards Architecture, but instead he pursued Building Surveying, a path that would prove invaluable in shaping the skills and knowledge he relies on today.

Working as a Building Surveyor enabled Jamie to develop a meticulous eye for detail and a disciplined approach to examining objects, spaces and materials. It also provided a deep understanding of historic buildings, how they were constructed, how they have evolved over time, and the stories they continue to tell. These foundations remain central to his approach when collecting antiques.

However, throughout his professional career the pull of antiques and design never disappeared. What began as a rediscovered hobby gradually became all encompassing, with buying, selling, researching, and discovering unique pieces becoming an integral part of his life.

Recognising the opportunity to turn a lifelong passion into a profession, Jamie Robertson Antiques was founded in 2026. Thus combining his lifelong appreciation for design, a professional background, and a family heritage closely connected to the antiques trade.

Our stock spans the 18th to 20th centuries, encompassing period furniture, works of art, sculpture, industrial antiques, and architectural salvage.

"I believe that art should be found in the objects that we live with every day, and isn't confined solely to the galleries. I hope this is reflected through my collection which in turn offers something for everyone to enjoy, cherish, and connect with. I believe we have moved away from fast fashion, now it's time to move away from fast furniture."
